After his degree in English Language and Literature at the University of Turin, he started his career in the tourism sector, first as a tour leader for a number of tourist companies and then as Product Manager for tour operator Ventana Turismo. He subsequently joined Chiariva as an Executive Product Manager until 1999 and then became Business Development Manager for a number of Australian and New Zealand inbound operators.
He is currently Marketing Manager for Tourism NT (Northern Territory Australia), for the South Australian Tourism Commission (SATC), Sales Manager for the Indian tour package company Trans India Holidays. Giancarlo is fluent in English, French, Spanish and modern Greek, and has some knowledge of Portuguese.
